The Wedding of Gaynor and Stuart at Friern Manor
I love Friern Manor, so it was great when Gaynor and Stuart asked us to cover their wedding day photography.
I started the day by meeting up with Gaynor and the girls at home for the initial preparations.
Everyone was very relaxed and looking forward to the day and the girls were having a bit of a giggle.
We quickly moved onto Friern Manor where the girls moved everything into the bridal suite.
Friern Manor Country Hotel is located just off the A127 at Dunton.
The Hotel always looks amazing and the staff are very professional ensuring the guests have a great day.
The grounds at Friern Manor looked great, as a photographer there are lots of options for the bride and groom for the photos.
The bridal suite makes a great space to photograph the dress and the last of the preparations along with a balcony over looking the grounds where the girls shared a glass of bubbly.
Just as Gaynor was in the final stages of getting dressed her sisters came to see her.
It was quite an emotional moment and we were all concerned they might be some smudged makeup!
Nick (the second photographer) met up with Stuart and the boys at a local hotel before making their way to Friern Manor.
We always like to get some images of the boys preparations as its a key part of the day the bride will not see.
Once Stuart, the groomsmen and family arrived at Friern Manor Nick had time to get a few more images before the ceremony.
The ceremony was taking place in the marquee at the front of the hotel.
This is a great space, its light and allows all the guests a view of the ceremony.
I think Stuart was a tad emotional (he would never admit it) when he turned and saw Gaynor for the first time.
After the ceremony and reception drinks we spent some time on the confetti and group photos.
Before the guests went in for the wedding breakfast we spent a little time with the wedding parties and the large ‘LOVE’ letters.
The previous day I saw there were some haystacks in a local field, so following the wedding breakfast and speeches we made use of the mini bus the couple had and went to sit on some haystacks.
Everyone was great sports, we had a lot of sheets with us (which probably made it a tad more comfortable) which we used to stop getting the dresses dirty.
Our day with Gaynor and Stuart finished with the cake cutting and the first dance.
