Kerry and Adam’s wedding at The Lion Inn
I was really pleased when Kerry and Adam asked me to record their very special day.
I met them at a local wedding fair and they seemed a lot of fun with some great ideas.
The LIon Inn is renown for its amazing food…
I started the day by meeting up with Kerry and her bridal party at Pontlands Park Hotel, just down the road from the church.
It was a bright autumnal day allowing us to make use of the outside space for some photos in their onesies.
We had to keep Dad out of the way a little (thanks Dad) as we wanted him to see her for the first time that day in her Wedding dress.
I left Kerry and went to meet Adam and the boys at the church, St Marys.
Adam seemed relaxed and very excited about the day.
The boys were putting their finishing touches to their wedding dress.
As they were there nice and early it gave us time to get a few photos before the guests arrived.
At its only two or three minutes from Pontlands Park to the church the wedding car made two trips, one with the bridesmaids and one with Kerry and Dad.
For the end of October we really could not have asked for better weather, it was bright and dry.
The sun was a little low keeping the temperature down a little but the bridal party were great in helping me capture some great images, outside and inside the church.
The ceremony was very personal to both Kerry and Adam which made it feel great.
After the ceremony we took some group photos and then some photos with the confetti.
Kerry really wanted this under the lych gate, we managed to squeeze in as many people as we could (thanks) and it was a little challenging due to the very heavy shadows, but I think we got there.
After the slightly more formal photos we had time to go back inside the church and get some photos of Kerry’s amazing dress.
As well as a few photos outside the church – braving getting run over!
Back at The Lion House the guests were enjoying their canapes and drinks allowing us a little time to get some photos in the garden area as well as making use of the courtyard at the front of the venue.
Kerry and Adam hired a caricaturist, he was great, with long queues of people waiting theur turn.
We finished off the day by taking a few photos in the evening sun and again making use of the courtyard and the great lighting.
We wanted to play with a few sparklers, so we got all the available wedding party together.
We struggled to find an area dark enough, but with a bit of patience and some nice drivers turning off their lights we made use of the car park.
The day finished with some photos of the first dance.
At the end of this blog is a link to a short slideshow of some of the images from the day, as well as a link to all the proof wedding photos (but you will need that all important password from Kerry and Adam)
