Sarah and Ryans wedding
It was really great to be asked by Sarah and Ryan to photography their wedding day at Fanhams Hall.
Fanhams Hall is an amazing 18th Century Country House located in Ware, Hertfordshire, it has so many opportunities for the photography!
It was an early start with me meeting up with Sarah and the bridal party in one of the great rooms at Fanham, the Chestnut suite.
The preparations were under way and everyone was starting to get excited about the rest of the day.
As it was an early start here, there was plenty of time and everyone was pretty relaxed.
When Sarah stepped into her amazing dress the excitement rose a little and everything started to feel a little real.
Chris (the second photographer) started his day by meeting up with Ryan and the boys at home.
This is a great time as we get some of the boys preparations, something the bride may not see.
It also allows us to break the ice with the boys.
Chris got to Fanhams Hall before the boys to capture their arrival and to get a few more photos with the groomsmen, before Ryan went to meet some of their guests.
The ceremony took place in the spectacular ‘Long Room’, it truly is an amazing location for a wedding ceremony.
With the white carpet and some fantastic floral decorations it was close to a perfect setting.
The bridal party led the way in followed by Sarah and her dad, Ryan’s first view of his new wife.
The ceremony was very personal creating a fantastic start to married life for Sarah and Ryan, with lots of romance and a little passion for the first kiss.
After the ceremony and reception drinks we made use of some of the amazing grounds, using the building as a backdrop for many of them.
We were really lucky with the weather, rain had been forecast, but on the day we had quite a bit of sun.
The last few photos we got before the wedding breakfast were in some of the grounds, which like everything else looked immaculate.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches – well done to the best man who was a tad nervous.
We went back outside to get a few photos in the evening sun.
Whilst I was with Sarah and Ryan, Chris spent some time with the younger members of the wedding party.
Capturing some of the fun they were having with a kite and simply running around like kids do!
We are not sure who enjoyed the kite the most, the kids or Dad….
One of the final parts of the day the guests want to see is the cake cutting and the first dance.
With two photographers we were able to get two unique angles of these very special moments, the very first dance as husband and wife.
The day finished with a little bit of rain we had been promised.
Sarah had wanted to use some sparklers, so we used one of the entrance porches, keeping everyone (but us) nice and dry.
They then braved the rain to allow us to get our last photo of the day.
At the end of this blog will be a link to a slideshow of some of the images from the day, see if you can spot yourself.
There will also be a link to all the proof photos, but you will need the password to access this area, you need to contact Sarah and Ryan for this.
