Tina and Stephen’s wedding day
It was a real pleasure to be asked by Tina and Stephen to photograph their very special day.
The wedding was held at Mulberry House, an amazing country hose on the edge of Ongar.
The grounds always look amazing.
The weather was beautiful, which was a real bonus and we had some rain on the previous days.
For me the day started with me meeting up with Tina and the bridal party at Mulberry House.
Everyone was very chilled and the hair and makeup ladies were hard at work.
Tina was drinking her cup of ‘tea’, she says she was saving her self for a glass of something a bit later in the day. But there was a bottle of bubbly being enjoyed by the rest of the bridal party.
Tina was given a gift of a book with some of the images of the hen weekend, so much for what happens on the hen weekend, stays on the hen weekend!
Even the younger members of the party were having some makeup.
Its always a special moment when the wedding dress is put on for real, Tina’s daughter (her maid of honour) did a great job.
Nick (the second photographer) met up with Stephen and his party when he arrived at Mulberry House.
With two photographers it gives us plenty of time to capture the grooms preparations, something the brides doesn’t always get to see otherwise.
The T shirt made us all smile, not that we would ever admit it was true 🙂
I guess, boy will be boys, so we had to get a photo of the underpants!
We were joined at the ceremony by Kim, she came along to take a few images as she will be working with us a bit this year.
The ceremony room looked fantastic, it was quite a long walk for the flower girl but the page boy did a great job guiding her in the right direction.
Tina arrived escorted by her son and looked great as she walked up the isle.
After the exchange of rings (and the first kiss) there was a lot of cheering as they officially became husband and wife.
After the more formal group photos we spent a little time with the newly married couple as we had a slow walk around the grounds.
It was probably nice to have a bit of time alone as well as spending some time in the shade.
Just before we entered in for the wedding breakfast we threw the confetti, Im always amazed the places this gets into, Im often finding it much later in the day.
The wedding breakfast / reception area looked beautiful.
Tina and Stephen welcomed their guests with a receiving line before sitting down to an amazingmeal.
The final part of our day was the cake cutting and the first dance as husband and wife.
After this Tina let her hair down for some serious dancing.
At the end of this blog is a link to a short slideshow of some of the images from the day, there is also a link to all the photos.
