The Wedding of Ginette & Scott at Leez Priory
It was really great to be asked by Ginette & Scott to be their wedding photographer for their very special day.
Unusually we have know them for a long time, they originally booked us for 2013, but because of an injury Scott had, it had to be postponed.
So it was great when they asked us to cover this very special day for them.
The day started with me meeting up with Ginette and the Bridal Party at Leez Priory, an amazing venue located just outside Chelmsford (Essex)
The day was dry and bright and it was a tad manic with everyone getting ready, so I took the flowergirls outside to have a little fun and break the ice with them.
The wellie boots we carry came in very useful.
Ginette had a large bridal party with her flower girls, bridesmaids and pageboys.
Everyone was well prepared for a December wedding, but it was nowhere near as cold as it could have been.
Although it’s always a little chaotic during the preparations, it’s always great to capture some of the background images as a memory of the day.
Its something that is important to capture for the couples memories in many years to come.
Nick (the second photographer) met up with Scott and the boys getting a few photos around the amazing grounds of Leez Priory.
We also had Barry with us, Barry is a skilled studio photographer who wanted to come out to a wedding – thanks to Ginette and Scott for their assistance with this.
With Leez Priory there are numerous areas couples can get married, Ginette & Scott used the Coach House, just a short walk from the main building.
Its a great building for all the guests to see the ceremony and filled with character.
After the ceremony we went straight into the group photos, simply because we were worried about the failing light, always something we need to think about for winter weddings.
Many thanks to the guests for braving the cold for us and to Ginette & Scott for spending a little longer outside so we could get some images around the stunning grounds.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches we used our wellie boots again.
Taking the Bridal party outside for a few images outside.
But it was turning cold quickly, so we didn’t spend too long out there.
During the day we managed to grab a couple more quick sessions outside.
Playing with some sparklers and also trying to get a photo of the evening sky.
The day finished for us with capturing the first dance as Husband and Wife.
At the end of this blog is a link to a slideshow of some of the images from the day and a link to the proof photos, but you will need the password to access all the photos.
